Allow me to introduce Siggi, a courageous little terrier born with a unique condition that affected her front paws, causing them to be turned upside down. Although she adapted as best she could, it was clear that she experienced discomfort when walking. This sight deeply moved the volunteers from an animal protection organization who couldn’t bear to see her in pain.

Originally, Siggi was found as an abandoned puppy in Dallas, Texas, USA, and ended up in an animal rescue organization called Dallas Dog – Rescue.Rehab.Reform (fb @DallasDogRRR).

A glimmer of hope emerged when the Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine (OSUCVM) stepped in. They recently agreed to perform a life-altering surgery on Siggi. The question now is, what will be the outcome?

When the volunteers of the rescue organization learned of Siggi's condition, they asked someone to take a picture of it, hoping to use it to raise medical expenses for it. (fb @DallasDogRRR)

Siggi, the resilient pup, was just 13 weeks old when she arrived at OSUCVM for treatment. The experienced veterinarians conducted a thorough examination and acknowledged the risks associated with the surgery. However, they also recognized that Siggi, being so young, deserved a chance at a life free from pain.

At that time, Siggi was less than 3 months old. Volunteers saw such a cute dog. Without surgery, it would suffer lifelong pain when walking. This heartwarming story of giving Siggi a fresh start in life was generously shared by the OSUCVM team in Oklahoma, USA. Follow Siggi’s journey on her Instagram account and become a part of her inspiring transformation!
