For six long years, a dog suffered from a large salivary tumor because his owners refused to take him to the vet for treatment

For over six years, the former owners of a wonderful dog disregarded his enormous salivary tumor, causing the poor animal excruciating pain. He cried constantly and was unable to move his head.

However, the dog is now receiving the medical attention he deserves, thanks to the Long Way Home rescue organization. According to the organization, although Jake’s former family loved him, they neglected to take him to the vet when his face started to swell.

Despite living with a massive salivary tumor for six years, Jake is an incredibly well-behaved dog, according to his former owners. They initially mistook the tumor for a snake bite but failed to take him to a vet for treatment. Despite his condition, Jake is potty trained, gets along well with other dogs, and can even perform tricks like shaking paws. He was raised as an indoor dog and deserves to receive proper medical attention to treat his long-standing tumor.

Last week, Jake was discovered wandering in a rural area of Texas, and the animal welfare organization Cribs for Canines immediately began efforts to persuade his family to give up ownership so that he could receive proper medical care from a veterinarian. Fortunately, Jake is now receiving treatment in Waco and has already experienced significant relief after a large amount of fluid was drained from his tumor. With continued medical attention, Jake has a chance to live a happy and healthy life free from the pain he has endured for far too long.
