Kiah’s journey began when she was discovered on the streets with a head injury. Her owner faced charges of animal cruelty, and she found a new home at the Kirby Animal Shelter in Texas. Recognizing her intelligence and friendly disposition, the shelter initially aimed to find her a permanent home. However, as time passed, they realized her potential to excel as a police dog.

Kiah became a part of the Universal K9 program, where she wowed everyone with her vibrant personality, sociability, and teachability. Upon completing her training, she etched her name in history as New York’s first Pit Bull police dog.
