Just when Stray Rescue of St. Louis thought they’d heard it all, they got a call. “I bought a house and there is a Pit Bull chained up in the basement,” said the person on the other side of the line. “I’m not sure how long it’s been down there.”
When rescuers arrived at the home they found a black and white Pit Bull staring up at them from the bottom of the stairs.
Despite what must have been a terrible ordeal, the Pit Bull smiled at them and wagged her tail furiously.
Her chain was so short, she could only step on the bottom stair. After freeing the dog, they investigated the basement and found a lot of poo, which indicated the dog had been down there for some time.
As soon as “Jumping Bean” got outside and had people approach her she couldn’t contain her excitement and began jumping up and down and dancing all over the place.
And her joy continued all through her freedom ride.
We’re sure this happy girl won’t have to wait long for a forever home thanks to Stray Rescue of St. Louis!
