Shelby Hennick, a 21-year-old veterinary technician, shares a love for animals with her grandmother Dona. However, Dona recently had to be hospitalized due to complications from her medication.
Due to her illness, Dona was unable to see her cherished dog, Patsy. Understanding Dona’s sadness, Shelby’s mother suggested that Shelby bring Patsy to visit her. Recognizing the therapeutic value of animals, Shelby disguised Patsy as a human baby and successfully brought her into the hospital.
The hospital staff greeted Shelby with smiles and waves, not realizing that the bundle she was carrying was not a human baby, but a small dog. Dona initially believed Shelby had brought her sister’s newborn for a visit, but was overjoyed when Patsy was revealed to be her own beloved companion.
Shelby reports that Patsy couldn’t stop crying upon seeing Dona, as she is now 13 years old and has lived with Dona since she was just a few weeks old.
When Patsy came to live with Dona, she required bottle feeding and nursing to recover her health, which Dona undertook with dedication. Their bond has been unbreakable ever since.
